Student Programs

   NDSEC operates a variety of programs designed to address the needs of its students, maintaining a full continuum of placement options in two general categories, Multi-Needs Programs and Emotional Disabilities Programs .

 

  Program Goals:

  • Instructing students in an individualized functional manner in order to meet their unique educational needs
  • Providing a continuum of services and environments to meet the needs of each student
  • Providing support services as defined in the Individual Education Plan
  • Supporting an eligibility determination model for the development of Individual Education Plans
  • Promoting continued improvement of all personnel through ongoing training and staff development activities

 

  Multi-Needs Programs

   NDSEC's programs for students identified with cognitive, physical, or multiple disabilities    utilize a trans-disciplinary team model in supporting the needs of students with    development difficulities.

   

  Emotional Disabilities Program

   NDSEC's programs for students with emotional disabilities utilize a modified "Boys       Town" model of teaching and integrating pro-social behavior for students with emotional    difficulities.

 

  Lincoln Academy

   Lincoln Academy is the alternative school for NDSEC. The program at Lincoln   Academy is designed for junior high and high school students with emotional needs that   cannot be successfully met within a traditional school environment.
